Welcome to the Radar Rainfall tool of Florida’s St. Johns River Water Management District. The Radar Rainfall tool provides several methods for you to view rainfall distribution on a given day or over a period of a month.
The map is displayed in the canter. On the left side the search options are displayed. On the right side, the FAQ's and official disclaimer can be viewed. On the lower right corner the legend is displayed. The legend changes based on the type of search. The two types of legends present are for the searches by a month or a given day.
Select a place to determine the map area. Clicking on an option will expand that option and hide the others(To view all the options for selecting a place click on the "Select a place..." button). The "County" and "Basin" options expand to display drop down menus for selecting a county or a basin. The "Address" option will expand and give the options to locate an address or an intersection. The "Entire District" option does not expand.
NOTE: Only the selected area is rendered on the map.
Select a time to determine when the rain occurred. Clicking on an option will expand that option and hide the unselected item (To view both the options for selecting a time click on the "Select a time..." button). The "Daily Values" and "Monthly Values" options expand to display menus for selecting by day or a month.
Once both the place and time selections have been made, clicking the "Get Map" button will refresh the map to show the rainfall distribution.
On the right side, brief navigation instructions are displayed. Upon clickin the "FAQ" and "Disclaimer" tabs, information about the data and the disclaimer can be viewed.
NOTE: Only the selected area is rendered on the map.
There are two different legends displayed based on the time selected(daily and monthly total).
